Heritage Memories

At Heritage Memories, we take great pride in offering furniture that is amongst the most beautiful and expertly hand-crafted in the world. Our product is truly unique with styling and beauty that can only be achieved through use of distinctive material and an incomparable attention to detail and quality.

The material used in all our pieces comes from abandoned homes and buildings throughout Newfoundland, many of which are aged in excess of 200 years. Providing shelter from Newfoundland's infamous harsh elements has allowed these pine and hemlock timbers to absorb the distinct rugged beauty of our beloved island home.

A small percentage of the lumber retrieved is hand selected for restoration. Through meticulous efforts, the wood is returned to a secure and reliable condition. Much of the lumber still displays rusty nail holes and original lumber yard tally marks which hint to its reincarnation and provide an esthetic impossible to duplicate. These resurrected boards are then hand crafted into premium rustic furniture, forever enshrining the rich and beautiful heritage of Newfoundland.
